COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lees-McRae women's cycling took to the mountain bike course this weekend on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College as Maria Döring collected first place in the downhill discipline for the Bobcats. Lees-McRae hosts the High Country MTB Challenge this coming weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

NOTABLES:
- On Saturday, Lina Dorscht started the day for the Bobcats with a podium finish in the STXC Women's A race in second place as Madysen Rails finished in fifth place and Maria Döring placed sixth for the Bobcats.
- In the Dual Slalom Women's A race, Railss led Lees-McRae with a fifth place finish as Bailey Laprade (8th), Gabriella Vides-Barry (9th), and Maria Döring (10th) rounded out the top ten for the Bobcats.
- In the Team Relay race, Lees-McRae finished second behind Brevard as Döring and Dorscht teamed up with men's cycling athletes Josh Foley and Ian McDonald.
- On Sunday, Dorscht picked up another second place in the Cross Country Women's A race as Maria Döring registered a fifth place finish.
- In the Downhill Women's A race, Döring earned the top podium spot with Vides-Barry placing sixth for the Bobcats.

Lees-McRae women's cycling hosts the High Country Collegiate MTB Challenge next Saturday and Sunday in Banner Elk. The cross country and dual slalom races are slated to kick off day one of the competitions on the campus of Lees-McRae.
