TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Lees-McRae men's soccer traveled to the campus of North Greenville University on Wednesday night where the Bobcats earned a 1-1 draw with the No. 18 Crusaders.
Alfie Hyett registered his first goal as a Bobcat in the 12
th minute with
Balint Pavel and
Harrison Watts collecting assists on the night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hyett quickly got Lees-McRae the one-goal advantage after his header found the back of the net in the 12th minute with Pavel and Watts scoring assists on the play.
- The Crusaders tied the match in the 15th minute after a shot from outside the box by Nico Ferraro that was redirected into the goal.
- Tamino Brown almost grabbed the lead back for the Bobcats in the 36th minute with a shot across the goal but was cleared away at the right post by a Crusader defender.
- Jesper Jonsson had a shot that was cleared away by NGU's defense once again in the 81st minute and Joshua Garvilla made the save of the match in the 82nd minute after a shot on target by North Greenville's Renan Macuglia.
- The two squads ended the match with a 1-1 draw with both sides remaining deadlocked in the Conference Carolinas table with eight points.
- Joshua Garvilla collected three saves in net for Lees-McRae to hold the draw on Wednesday night.
FOR THE CRUSADERS:
- Michel Webber allowed the early goal in the contest and did not register a save on the evening.
- Arthur Leray and Tyler Brown joined Ferraro and Macuglia with shots on target for the Crusaders.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Fletcher Dyson's streak of seven goals in seven matches to start the season ends tonight with Dyson only having one shot in the contest against North Greenville. Dyson leads the league in goals scored with seven and total points with 15.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae is idle the rest of the week as the Bobcats next head to Central, South Carolina for a conference contest with Southern Wesleyan on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
