BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's volleyball notched their third victory of the season with a four-set victory over Bluefield State on Monday night.
Julia Emore registered her second career triple-double with 11 kills, 17 assists, and 11 digs and
Sydney Stigler paced the offensive attack with 17 kills.
THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Lees-McRae def. Bluefield State, 3-1 (25-16, 25-19, 22-25, 25-22)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats got out to a quick start in set one with back-to-back service aces by Mahea Chun to take the early 3-1 lead. Lees-McRae took control with nine consecutive points to go up 19-10 and earned the first set by a final of 25-16 after a kill via Stigler.
- In the second set, Madison Goins started the set with two aces to push the lead to 4-0. The Bobcats earned the set victory with the 25-19 after eight consecutive points to close the set.
- Bluefield State rallied in the third set after a 4-0 start for the Big Blue. The Bobcats made the set interesting with five consecutive points, but Bluefield State earned the third set with a 25-22 victory.
- In the fourth set, the Bobcats rallied to lead 10-9 after an attack error by BSU's Lindsey Neal as the two sides traded points throughout the middle of the game. Lees-McRae secured the set and match victory with back-to-back kills by Rebecca Ryan and Stigler.
- Stigler had a team-high and season-best 17 kills in the match to go along with 10 digs.
- Goins tallied 23 assists to lead the Bobcats on the offensive end and Mahea Chun had 12 digs in the contest.
- Ryan followed Emore and Stigler with eight kills as Destiny Holley collected six in the victory.
- The Bobcats also had 15 aces on the evening and had a hitting clip of .176 to Bluefield State's .017.
FOR THE BIG BLUE:
- Allyson Martin led Bluefield State in the contest with nine kills and Aydan Dalak contributed a team-high 15 assists.
- Veronica Butler had 15 digs in the loss for the Big Blue.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Emore's triple-double is her second on the season and she is now tied for fifth in NCAA Division II with two.

Lees-McRae returns to the McNair & Debi Tornow Court on Wednesday, Sept. 28 as the Bobcats welcome Belmont Abbey in a Conference Carolinas matchup. The first serve is slated for 7 p.m.
