BELMONT, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's soccer stormed back in the second half of its Conference Carolinas opener with Belmont Abbey as the two sides battled to a 3-3 draw.
Brooke Allen,
Averee Andrews, and
Taylor Barrineau all netted a goal in the second half for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae found themselves down by three goals at the break after the Crusaders found the back of the net three different times.
- The Bobcats capitalized in the second half as Allen got Lees-McRae on the board in the 52nd minute. Barrineau collected her third goal of the season approximately three minutes as the Bobcats trailed by one goal at the 55th-minuteth minute mark.
- Andrews drew the match even at three goals in the 76th minute.
- Gen Porsche almost pushed Lees-Mcrae in front with 12 minutes to play with a shot that hit the top of the crossbar.
- Haile Desmarais came in the 28th minute for the Bobcats and kept the Crusaders out of the net with two saves on the evening.
- Belmont Abbey outshot Lees-McRae 17-9 with eight shots on goal for the Crusaders to the Bobcats' six.
FOR THE CRUSADERS:
- Goose Andrews, Paige D'Agostin, and Logan Parry all contributed one goal in the first half for Belmont Abbey to register the 3-3 draw in the conference opener.
- Logan Harding had three saves on the evening for the Crusaders.
UP NEXT:
The Bobcats return to Tate Field for a non-conference matchup against Bluefield State on Saturday, Sept. 10. The match is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start.
