Lina Dorscht placed third for Lees-McRae women's cycling on Friday afternoon in the Cross Country Women's Varsity race with
Gabriela Ferolla taking seventh for the Bobcats in the second day of action at the 2023 USA Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships.

NOTABLES:
- Dorscht battled back into the third position on the fifth lap of the race and held off Fort Lewis' Michaela Thompson to take the third spot on the podium.
- Ferolla claimed seventh for Lees-McRae after her fastest lap of 14:19.2 in the event. Tessa Greep continued her second discipline of the championships with 15th place after posting 10th in the Dual Slalom yesterday.
- Anabel Miller (19th), Zoe Eckman (21st), Lauren Moon (26th), and Avery Wortendyke (31st) rounded out the placements for the Bobcats on Friday afternoon.
- Colorado Mesa's Makena Kellerman captured the XC title.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae cycling is back on the course tomorrow for the third day of racing with Downhill qualifying and Short Track taking place on Saturday. The fourth and final day will have the Downhill finals and the Team Relay in Rock Creek, North Carolina.
