MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's soccer made the trip across the state of North Carolina, but the Bobcats fell to Chowan 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sean Green made the first save of the day in the ninth minute off a shot from Hawk Bradley Binns. Green made two more stops in the first 45 to keep the match scoreless.
- Chowan took the one-goal advantage in the 65th minute off a free kick with Leke Ademola giving the 1-0 lead to the Hawks.
- Harrison Watts, Owen Smith, and Jesper Jonsson each had a shot on target for Lees-McRae in the second half, but the Bobcats were unable to find the equalizer at Chowan.
- Green made four saves in goal for Lees-McRae. Laurin Boettcher, Nils Schulze, Gray Smith, and Leon Vrban played the full 90 minutes in addition to Green.
FOR THE HAWKS:
- Chowan pushes their unbeaten streak to nine matches dating back to September 16 when the Hawks defeated Erskine 8-2 in Due West.
- Ademola tallied his fourth goal of the season for the Hawks and goalkeeper Chase Jansen earned the clean sheet with three saves on the afternoon.
