JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Lees-McRae women's basketball dropped its final exhibition, 77-42, of the 2023-24 season to Division I opponent East Tennessee State on Sunday afternoon.
Nadiya Hairston and
Sandra Mason each had eight points to lead the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 10 different Bobcats scored in today's contest at ETSU. Hairston went 2-5 from three-point range and added two rebounds. Mason also had eight points on 3-4 from the free-throw line and Sydney Hayes collected six points on two three-pointers for Lees-McRae.
- Thailand Smith registered four points, two rebounds, and one assist in the game. Aleysha Hill, Emily Barr, Faith Laws, and Kirsten Watt all tallied three points while Shayne Burton and Layla Tillery rounded out the scoring for Lees-McRae with two points apiece.
- Lees-McRae knocked down a season-high seven three-pointers on the day and went 7-11 from the charity stripe. ETSU caused 24 Bobcat turnovers in the contest with 21 points coming off those turnovers.
FOR THE BUCCANEERS:
- Journee McDaniel guided the Buccaneers on Sunday with a double-double, 17 points and 11 rebounds. Nevaeh Brown and Jakhyia Davies joined McDaniel in double-digit scoring with 16 and 10 points, respectively.

Lees-McRae women's basketball returns to the McNair & Debi Tornow Court for a Conference Carolinas with Emmanuel on Wednesday, Dec. 13. The tip-off with the Lions is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start.
