EMORY, Va. – Lees-McRae women's basketball returned from the Christmas break with a non-conference matchup at Emory & Henry on Saturday afternoon.
Emily Barr led the Bobcats with 23 points and 12 rebounds, but the Wasps earned the 84-76 victory on their home court.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barr collected a team-high 23 points on 8-14 shooting and 7-8 from the free-throw line for the Bobcats and added 12 boards, two blocks, and one steal in today's contest.
- Kirsten Watt followed with 12 points and Layla Tillery joined Barr and Watt with 11 points on an efficient 5-8 shooting. Essence Sumner rounded out Lees-McRae in double figures with 10 points on 3-4 shooting and a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe.
- Lees-McRae shot 15-32 (46.9%) from the field in the second half and went 26-64 (40.6%) from the floor in 40 minutes of action. The Bobcats tallied 22-28 from the free-throw line and scored 16 points off 22 Emory & Henry turnovers.
FOR THE WASPS:
- Emma Santoro led the Wasps with 23 points on 9-17 shooting and Breanna Yarber followed with 18 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks. Gracyn Hall joined them in double-digit scoring with 11 points with seven free-throw makes.
