CENTRAL, S.C. – Lees-McRae women's basketball dropped a tough one on the road this evening as Southern Wesleyan used a 22-point comeback in the second half to earn the 71-69 Conference Carolinas victory on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Jala Holloman and Sandra Mason each led the Bobcats with 17 points on the night, and Dianna Spence had a season-high 15 points on 4-7 from three-point range.
- Logan Dutka joined her fellow Bobcats in double-digit scoring with 12 points and hauled in four rebounds.
- Lees-McRae started tonight with three straight three-pointers after Holloman scored her first points of the game at the 8:08 mark of the first quarter. The Bobcats held the 16-15 advantage after 10 minutes of play.
- The Bobcats continued their fast start in the first half with three more three-point makes in the contest at 25-16. Lees-McRae closed the first half on a 10-0 scoring run to take the 20-point margin into the halftime break.
- In the second half, Southern Wesleyan flipped the script on the Bobcats and gained their first lead of the game at 63-61 after Warrior Tristen Berry knocked down a three. The Bobcats evened the score at 69-69 after a jumper via Mason, but SWU's Berry collected the game-winning shot with 49 seconds left in the matchup.
- Lees-McRae made a season-best 13 threes in the evening and held the Warriors to four points in the second quarter. The Bobcats also had a season-high 16 assists on 25 made baskets.
FOR THE WARRIORS:
- Brittany Mack paced Southern Wesleyan with a game-high 25 points and went a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line. Shelby Glance collected 12 points and 11 boards for a double-double and Allie Newberry followed with 11.
- Berry joined her teammates in double figures with 10 points on 4-6 shooting from the floor.

Lees-McRae women's basketball returns to the McNair & Debi Tornow Court on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. for a league contest with Belmont Abbey. The Bobcats will also celebrate Senior Day prior to the game getting underway.
