Haley Donovan scored a net trick and collected eight draw controls as Lees-McRae women's lacrosse was defeated by Barton by a final of 18-6 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barton got on the board first with a goal at the 13:12 mark of the first quarter, but the Bobcats answered as Genesis Lutsky found the back of the net with 10:48 remaining in the first quarter. The Bulldogs tallied three more times in the period to take the early 4-3 lead.
- In the second quarter, Barton used six unanswered goals to end the first half with the 8-3 advantage and recorded the Conference Carolinas victory at 18-6 with ten more goals in the second half.
- Lutsky followed Donovan with goals and Shannan Korovich had one goal and one assist in the game.
- Aviva Beringhause recorded the fourth-most saves in program history with a career-high 20 stops in goal for the Bobcats. Beringhause also had six ground ball pickups for Lees-McRae.
FOR THE BULLDOGS:
- Samantha Serio, Sydney Quinn, and Taryn Ugliono all registered hat tricks for Barton and Serio contributed two assists in the victory.
- Kloe Martin had five draw controls for the Bulldogs and Avery Gandolf earned her fourth win of the season in goal.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae heads to Belmont, North Carolina on Wednesday, March 22 for a Conference Carolinas contest with Belmont Abbey. The action is slated for a 5 p.m. start.
