GREENEVILLE, TENN. – Lees-McRae men's volleyball was back in action this evening as the Bobcats played Tusculum for the second time this season. The Pioneers collected the four-set victory and
Ace Backer had a team-high 12 kills for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae jumped out to an early set advantage after three consecutive points in the first set at 25-21.
- Tusculum battled back to even match at one set apiece and collected the third set at 25-21. The Pioneers held off a late rally by the Bobcats in the fourth set to secure the 3-1 non-conference victory.
- Backer had 12 kills on a .455 hitting percentage for the Bobcats and M.J. Doyle narrowly missed a double-double with nine kills and 10 digs.
- Joe Angelo followed his fellow teammates with sevens in the match and Austin Beaird and Sebastian Heer recorded six kills apiece.
- Bradley Peters distributed 37 assists on the night and Backer, Heer, and Peters each registered five blocks in the contest.
- Tusculum outhit Lees-McRae .129 to .121 in the four sets with the Pioneers helding the slim margin in total kills at 44 to 43.
FOR THE PIONEERS:
- Colby Landry led the Pioneers with a match-high 13 kills on 31 total attacks and Jadan Bramhall recorded 40 assists in the match.
