WILSON, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's tennis powered past Barton on Friday afternoon to earn their third Conference Carolinas match victory of the season.
Anita Ivanova,
Rhidaim Yang,
Pati Vedia Sanchez, and
Lina Ngassi Saquot picked up straight-set victories in their respective singles matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats earned the first point of the match with victories at the No. 1 and 3 courts. Ivanova and Mei Hiramatsu collected the doubles point with a 6-4 victory at the No. 1 position. Saquot and Gumussoy tallied the first victory of the match for Lees-McRae with a 6-3 decision on court three.
- Ivanova gave the Bobcats the 2-0 lead after her opponent retired in the second set. Yang picked up a straight-set victory at No. 3 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
- Sanchez followed Yang's lead with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles and Saquot also collected the straight-set victory, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
- Gumussoy battled in a three-set affair at No. 5 singles but picked up the 10-5 set tiebreaker in the third for the Bobcats' 6-1 victory at Barton.
