BANNER ELK, N.C. – At 2:43 a.m. on Saturday morning, Lees-McRae women's tennis tallied a 4-3 match victory over Francis Marion.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Francis Marion jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after wins on No. 1 and 2 doubles positions.
- The Patriots claimed victories at No. 1 and 2 singles, but the Bobcats battled back with Rhidaim Yang collecting the 6-3, 6-3 decision over Francis Marion's Julie Martincova at No. 3 singles.
- Pati Vedia Sanchez followed with a three-set victory on court No. 4, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, and Lina Ngassi Saquot evened the match at 3-3 with a straight-set victory, 6-4, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
- Begum Gumussoy took the match into Saturday morning with a third-set tiebreaker and claimed the 4-3 victory over Francis Marion's Sophia Hansen, 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8).
