BANNER ELK, N.C. – In their third match in three days, Lees-McRae women's tennis fell 4-1 to Erskine in their Conference Carolinas regular season finale on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Begum Gumussoy and Lina Ngassi Saquot got the Bobcats their first victory with a 6-3 decision at No. 3 doubles. Mei Hiramatsu and Anita Ivanova grabbed the point advantage with a 6-3 victory on No. 1 court.
- The Flying Fleet knotted the match at one point apiece with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles and took the lead with a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.
- Erskine took the match 4-1 after earning match victories at courts No. 1 and 2. Yang earned the first set at 7-5, but her match went unfinished as well as Pati Vedia Sanchez's contest
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae finished the regular season at 9-8 overall and 8-2 in league play after a seven-match win streak that was snapped this afternoon. The Bobcats will now head to Florence, South Carolina to take part in the Conference Carolinas Championships starting on Friday, April 21.
