Men's and Women's Cycling Dominates High Country Cycling Classic

RESULTS

BOONE, N.C. – Lanier Ash and Mariana Rinaldo collected road race victories in their respective Road Race Collegiate A Races on Sunday afternoon at App State's High Country Cycling Classic.
 
THE BASICS
RACE: High Country Cycling Classic
LOCATION: Boone, North Carolina
 
MEN'S NOTABLES:

• On the men's side, Ash recorded the win in the Men's Collegiate A race with Derrick Chavarria and Shay Wright following in second and third. Josh Foley and Peter Swinand rounded out the Bobcats for a clean sweep in the top five on the day.
• Max Chilsen placed second in the Men's Collegiate B race and Holden Wierema secured third place and David Schuster took fourth in Men's Collegiate C race.

 
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:

• The Bobcats took the first three spots in the Women's Collegiate A race with Rinaldo claiming gold. Madysen Rails and Heidi Martin finished in second and third respectively for Lees-McRae.

Lees-McRae heads to the College Road National Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico starting Friday, May 5.
