Shannan Korovich scored two goals and
Aviva Beringhause made 16 saves as Lees-McRae women's lacrosse dropped tonight's non-conference contest to Tusculum 19-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Korovich tallied the first goal of the day for Lees-McRae with 5:22 remaining in the first quarter to cut the Pioneer's lead to 3-1. Tusculum added another goal 16 seconds later but the Bobcats got within one after Hailey Smith and Korovich found the back of the net with back-to-back goals.
- Tusculum answered with two more goals in the first and took the halftime lead at 12-5 after six more goals in the second period.
- The Pioneers recorded seven more goals in the second half for the 19-6 non-conference victory on Thursday night.
- Haley Donovan had 10 draw controls along with one goal for the Bobcats and Genesis Lutsky tallied two ground balls, two draw controls, and two caused turnovers along with one goal.
- Kaitlyn Smith registered the other goal for Lees-McRae and recorded one ground ball also.
- Lees-McRae held the slight advantage in draw controls with 15 to Tusculum's 14.
FOR THE PIONEERS:
- Tia Daniel led the Pioneers with nine points (seven goals, two assists) and Chloe Michalski followed with four goals.
- Tusculum held the advantage in shots on goal, 35-14 and ground balls, 26-19.

Lees-McRae women's lacrosse is back in action on Wednesday, April 12 as the Bobcats hosts North Greenville. The first draw is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start on Tate Field
