GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas has unveiled its inaugural All-Community Service Team with
Dani Arabia of Lees-McRae cheerleading being one of the student-athletes featured.
Arabia and the Bobcat cheer program tallied 414 total service hours during the 2022-23 academic year as they were the CATSPY for service in April. The Bobcats helped with various activities throughout the Banner Elk community and at Lees-McRae with Mountain Day of Service, the Banner Elk Christmas Parade, and new student move-in day on campus.
One of the key strategies for Conference Carolinas is helping to provide its member institutions opportunities for student-athletes to be more involved and engaged within the community. The Community Service Team features student-athletes from our member institutions who embody all of these qualities.
To be eligible for the award, the student must be a junior or senior in academic status and own a grade-point average of 2.7 or higher. In addition, the student must have completed at least two full-time semesters at the institution.
