BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's soccer returned to Tate Field on Tuesday and secured the 5-0 victory behind a hat trick from
Taylor Barrineau.
Ezra Carpenter and
Haley Lowman also tallied goals in tonight's win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barrineau put the Bobcats in front in the 28th minute after a deflected shot off a Warrior defender.
- Lees-McRae added goals quickly out of the break after Lowman and Barrineau scored in the 48th minute and 51st minute, respectively.
- Barrineau netted her hat trick in the 60th minute after finishing the ball from Lowman as Lees-McRae led 4-0.
- Carpenter finished the scoring for Lees-McRae in the 77th minute after a through ball from Gen Porsche.
- Maddie Campo earned the win in goal for the Bobcats after stopping three shots on goal in a little of 75 minutes of action.
FOR THE WARRIORS:
- Amanda Magnin made the start in goal for Southern Wesleyan allowing one goal in the first half.
- Bella Hanzel and Madelyn Graf each had a shot on goal for the Warriors.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae heads to Belmont Abbey for a Conference Carolinas matchup with the Crusaders on Saturday, Sept. 23. The kickoff is slated for a 4:30 p.m. start.
