BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's cycling held strong in the High Country Mountain Bike Challenge on Saturday and Sunday with several top finishes on their home course.
THE BASICS
RACE: High Country Mountain Bike Challenge
LOCATION: Banner Elk, North Carolina
NOTABLES:
- Lina Dorscht took second in the Cross Country Women's A race on Saturday morning and Tessa Greep collected fifth in the event for the Bobcats. Anabel Miller and Gabriela Ferolla rounded out Lees-McRae in the top ten with an eighth and ninth place, respectively.
- In the Dual Slalom discipline, Gabby Vides-Barry guided the Bobcats to seventh place individually. Greep followed in ninth and Olivia Young finished in 17th.
- On Sunday, Ferolla paced Lees-McRae in the Short Track Women's A race with a fourth-place finish and Dorscht followed in fifth. Greep collected sixth in Sunday's race and Miller placed eighth for the Bobcats. Zoe Eckman closed the race in 17th place and Lauren Moon took 19th in the STXC A event.
- Vides-Barry took second in the Downhill Women's A race on Sunday afternoon and Greep finished in seventh for Lees-McRae. Young rounded out the racers for the Bobcats in 13th.
