HICKORY, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's soccer dropped a 3-0 decision to Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday night.

Gwen O'Brien each had a shot on goal for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lenoir-Rhyne held the advantage in shots, 27-6, and shots on goal, 10-3, and the Bears also collected six corners in the match.
- LR tallied the first goal of the match in the 14th minute via Kara Gavaghan and scored the second in the 33rd minute from Ria Acton's free kick.
- Alexis Cagno of Lenoir-Rhyne scored the final goal for the Bears in the 79th minute as LR secured the 3-0 victory in Hickory.
- Haile Desmarais made her season debut for Lees-McRae in goal and had seven stops in 90 minutes of play.
FOR THE BEARS:
- Acton, Cagno, and Gavaghan all had goals on the evening for Lenoir-Rhyne and Acton added an assist in the match also.
- Kristin Oliver collected a clean sheet for LR with three saves in the contest.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae finishes their three-match road trip on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Wingate. The kickoff with the Bulldogs is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
