M.J. Doyle and
Sebastian Heer collected seven kills apiece as Lees-McRae men's volleyball fell in straight sets to No. 7 Penn State on Thursday night.

FINAL SCORE: No. 7 Penn State def. Lees-McRae, 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-17)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae opened the first set with a kill from Austin Beaird, but the Nittany Lions used five straight points to take the 5-1 lead in the first half and earned the first set by a score of 25-13.
- The Bobcats used a hitting percentage of .235 in the second set with nine total kills, but Penn State compiled their best percentage of the night with .524 to secure the second set at 25-17. The Nittany Lions used a similar score in the third set for the three-set sweep.
- Lees-McRae recorded a .056 hitting percentage with 18 kills to 15 errors in the contest.
- Doyle tallied seven kills on 18 attempts for the Bobcats and Heer had an efficient seven kills on a .545 hitting percentage. Erel Bardah followed with two kills and added two blocks in the match.
- Abdirahman Ahmed registered 15 assists for the Bobcats and Beaird added one service ace in the match.
FOR THE NITTANY LIONS:
- John Kerr, the AVCA National Collegiate Player of the Week, had nine kills along with Toby Ezeonu and Owen Rose in three sets played. Michael Schwob had a match-high 20 assists to lead Penn State in the victory.
