CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's volleyball Middle Hitter
Clara Duarte collected a season-high 13 kills, but the Bobcats fell to Conference Carolinas member Southern Wesleyan in four sets at Charlotte Country Day School on Thursday evening.

FINAL SCORE: Southern Wesleyan def. Lees-McRae, 3-1 (25-16, 25-22, 20-25, 25-14)

RECORDS: Southern Wesleyan (7-7/4-4), Lees-McRae (9-7/1-4)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Southern Wesleyan picked up the first two sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-22, respectively. The Bobcats battled to force a fourth set after winning the third at 25-20. The Warriors took the match in the four sets with a 25-14 set victory.
- SWU, as a team, had .240 hitting percentage with 45 kills and Lees-McRae tallied a .095 hitting percentage with 46 kills to 32 errors.
- Nina Vallesi joined Duarte in double-digit kills with 11 and added eight digs in the contest. Duarte finished with 13 kills, three blocks, and three digs.
- Rebecca Ryan and Sydney Stigler added seven kills apiece in tonight's match.
- Emma Summerfield had 13 digs in four sets and Addyson Morgan accumulated 20 assists. Karlee Mainor followed with 15 assists in four sets.
FOR THE WARRIORS:
- Michaela Andress paced SWU with 12 kills on an impressive .308 hitting percentage and 15 digs. Mikaylah Hutton had nine digs. Amiyah Spann dished out 20 assists and Katie Fulton had 19 in four sets for the Warriors.
