MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's soccer and Mount Olive settled for a 0-0 draw on Friday morning in a Conference Carolinas fixture.
Addy Geiss led the Bobcats with two shots on goal and
Chiara Coppin collected the clean sheet with four saves on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Mount Olive had a quality chance in the first minute of the contest with a shot on goal from Olivia Womack. Rebcca Witkiewicz followed with a shot that hit the crossbar, but the score remained at 0-0.
- Geiss followed with two shots on goal in the eighth and 9th minute of the match. Averee Andrews and Ivy Cagno added shots on goal in the first 20 minutes of the first half.
- The two sides headed into halftime deadlocked at 0-0.
- Lees-McRae and Mount Olive continued to battle in the defensive struggle. UMO had the last chance with a shot on target from Womack in the 85th, but C. Coppin stopped the shot and kept the shutout in today's tie.
- Geiss was joined by Andrews, Cagno, Haley Lowman, and Gwen O'Brien with at least one shot on goal. Geiss was the only Bobcat with two shots on net.
FOR THE TROJANS:
- Womack had multiple opportunities in the match with three shots on goal for the Trojans. Samantha Gildner made six saves in net for Mount Olive.
