CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's volleyball earned the first set at 25-21, but the Bobcats fell in four sets to the visiting UNC Pembroke on Friday night.
Sydney Stigler recorded her 10th match of the season with 10 or more kills for the Bobcats.
THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: UNC Pembroke def. Lees-McRae, 3-1 (21-25, 26-24, 25-11, 25-17)

RECORDS: UNCP (11-15/8-6), Lees-McRae (10-11/2-9)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae jumped out to a 11-6 lead after kills from Clara Duarte and Stigler in the first set. UNCP evened the opening set at 18-18, but the Bobcats used two-point runs at 20-18 and 24-20 and captured the first set at 25-21 off a kill from Addyson Morgan.
- The Bobcats battled in the second set as they evened the set at 24-24. UNCP used a kill from Savannah Whaley and a service ace to even the match at one set apiece.
- The Braves had their best hitting percentage of the evening in the third set at .400 and held the Bobcats to .000 for the 25-11 set win. UNCP earned the match in four sets with a 25-17 in the fourth set.
- Stigler paced the Bobcats with 11 kills on the night. Duarte, Destiny Holley, and Nicole Osborne tallied eight kills apiece in the contest.
- Morgan recorded 38 assists in the match to go along with three kills and five digs.
- Brooke Ashkenase accumulated a match-high 16 digs in four sets for the Bobcats and Osborne followed with 10.
FOR THE BRAVES:
- Abby Pedduzi registered a match-high 13 kills for UNCP on the evening and 12 digs for the double-double. Precious Daley joined Pedduzi in the double-digit kills category with 10.
- Tyler Patterson started the UNCP attack with 41 assists in the four-set victory.
