GREENEVILLE, TENN. – Lees-McRae women's basketball fell to Catawba 92-65 on Sunday afternoon.
Leah Barringer and
Kirsten Watt combined for 26 points for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barringer buried a three-pointer to open the contest as Lees-McRae led 3-0 34 seconds into today's contest. The Bobcats built their lead to six, but back-to-back threes from Catawba tied the score at 14. Lees-McRae led 19-16 after the first 10 minutes.
- Catawba took the lead at 20-19 off a jumper from Sheree Gidney and held an eight-point advantage at the end of the first half.
- Catawba continued to add to its lead and had the 68-51 advantage at the end of the third. Catawba Indians picked up their first win of the season with a 92-65 win over the Bobcats.
- Barringer led the Bobcats for the second consecutive game with 20 points on 5-8 shooting and added one assist and one steal. Kirsten Watt joined her in double-digit scoring with 10 points, five rebounds, and one assist.
- Aleysha Hill contributed nine points off the bench for Lees-McRae and Nadiya Hairston eight points in 24 minutes of play. Kenley Woods collected seven points on 2-6 shooting and had three rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
- Lees-McRae shot 33.9% (20-59) from the field with three three-pointers and 22-27 from the free-throw line.
FOR THE CATAWBA INDIANS:
- Janiya Foskey paced Catawba with 20 points as five players scored in double figures. Kairah Dixon-Booker contributed 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Catawba Indians.

Lees-McRae women's basketball heads to Winston-Salem, North Carolina for a non-conference game with Winston-Salem State on Wednesday, November 13. The game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
