Kirsten Watt scored in double figures for the second consecutive contest, but Lees-McRae women's basketball fell to Winston-Salem State, 69-51, on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Winston-Salem State jumped out to a 10-4 lead after a layup from Sierra Hunter with 4:55 left in the first quarter. Sandra Mason connected on a three-pointer as the Bobcats trailed 14-9 after the first 10 minutes.
- The Rams used a 5-0 run to start the second quarter and held Lees-McRae to nine points in the quarter. WSSU earned its first victory, 69-51, on Wednesday night.
- Watt led the Bobcats in scoring with 15 points on 6-14 shooting and 3-7 from three-point range. Nadiya Hairston and Layla Tillery chipped in nine points apiece for Lees-McRae.
- Lees-McRae went 19-66 (28.8%) from the field with seven made three-pointers.
FOR THE RAMS:
- Hunter and Jakaiya Mack led a balanced scoring attack for Winston-Salem with 12 points each. Karina Scott joined them in double-digit scoring with 11 points. La'Niya Simes had eight points and 14 rebounds in tonight's contest.
