Nadiya Hairston scored a team-high nine points, but Lees-McRae women's basketball fell, 78-40, to Young Harris in Conference Carolinas play on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Young Harris scored 49 points in the second and third quarter for the 78-40 win over the Bobcats on Saturday afternoon.
- Lees-McRae shot 19.7% (14-71) from the field and went 7-13 from the free-throw line in today's loss.
- Hairston had nine points, four steals, three rebounds, and two assists in the contest. Layla Tillery contributed six points in 16 minutes for Lees-McRae. Kayli Dunn and Sydney Hayes scored five points apiece.
FOR THE MOUNTAIN LIONS:
- Courtney Davis paced Young Harris with 19 points off the bench. Paraguay Delamere and Annalise Malone followed with 18 and 13 points, respectively.
- The Mountain Lions shot 44.1% (30-68) from the field with 10 three-pointers.
