Ja'Quavian Florence scored his fourth consecutive game with 20 or more points, but Lees-McRae men's basketball fell to Conference Carolinas foe Converse 94-75 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Converse buried an opening three 30 seconds into yesterday's contest and held the 49-39 lead at the halftime break.
- The Valkyries added to their lead in the second half and earned the 94-75 win in Spartanburg.
- Florence had a game-high 29 points on 8-18 shooting and a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line. DJ Kent joined Florence in double figures with 11 points.
- Anthony Parker had eight points for the Bobcats. Lees-McRae was held to 36.4% (24-66) from the field and 6-23 from three-point range.
FOR THE VALKYRIES:
- Sigurd Lorange had a team-high 22 points for Converse and Edo Buffo followed with 20 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.
- Kyle Monk joined his teammates in double figures with 16 points.
