LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Lees-McRae men's cycling program competed at the 2024 USA Cycling Collegiate Cyclocross National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky on December 12-15.
THE BASICS
RACE: 2024 USA Cycling Collegiate Cyclocross National Championships
LOCATION: Louisville, Kentucky
NOTABLES:
- Ryan Avery paced the Bobcats with a 21st-place finish in Thursday's CX Men's Collegiate Varsity race. Pete Swinand and Max Chilsen followed in 27th and 28th place.
- Phillip Naude recorded 32nd in Thursday's and Shay Wright rounded out the Bobcats in 37th in the collegiate varsity division.
- On Friday, Avery and Chilsen joined Lees-McRae women's cycling teammates Jordan Austin and Anabel Miller for sixth place in the Team Relay.
- Avery, Chilsen, and Wright raced in Saturday's U23 Men's CX race. Avery finished in 26th to lead Lees-McRae men's cyclists.
