BRISTOL, Tenn. – Lees-McRae women's basketball fell to "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" foe King, 78-58, on Wednesday evening in Bristol, Tennessee.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- King jumped out to a 15-5 lead after a three-pointer from Jaelyn West. Hairston followed with a three of her own as Lees-McRae trailed 20-12 after the first quarter.
- The Tornado added to its first half lead and led by 16 after the first 20 minutes. King took the matchup by a final of 78-58 inside the Student Complex Center.
- Barringer recorded her fourth game scoring 10 or more points with 11 points on the evening. Barringer registered 11 points on 3-5 shooting and added five rebounds in tonight's effort. Hairston and Tillery followed with 10 points apiece.
- Sydney Hayes, Aleysha Hill,and Kenley Woods collected seven points for the Bobcats. Shayne Burton rounded out the scoring with six points in 18 minutes off the bench.
FOR THE TORNADO:
- Mariya Williams had a game-high 18 points for the Tornado on 9-11 from the field. Alexa Gramann and Jaelyn West joined Williams in double-digit scoring with 17 and 11 points, respectively.
