FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae men's tennis team picked up its first win of the season with a 7-2 win at Methodist on Sunday afternoon.
Ezequiel Arce,
Max Borisov, and
Cole Gibson all went 2-0 on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Borisov and Gibson opened the day with a 8-4 decision at the No. 2 doubles, but Methodist knotted the match at one point apiece with a 8-5 win on the No. 1 court.
- The Bobcats took the lead heading into the singles with a 8-6 win from Arce and Hudson Hoskins at the No. 3 position.
- Borisov dispatched his opponent at the No. 1 singles position with a 6-1, 6-3 win and Andrew Kunaka followed suit with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles.
- Arce continued the momentum for Lees-McRae on the No. 3 court with a straight-set 6-4, 6-2 win over Methodist's Wills Belser.
- Andy Tallafigo secured the singles victory at No. 4 singles at 7-6 (5), 6-3 and Gibson earned the match victory at No. 5 singles in three sets at 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.
