SALISBURY, N.C. – Catawba scored 11 goals in the first quarter to earn the 18-4 victory over Lees-McRae women's lacrosse on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Catawba started the game with five goals in the first 4:12 of play before Castro scored for the Bobcats at the 9:56 mark of the first period. The Indians led 11-2 after the first 15 minutes of action.
- Korovich tallied her seventh goal of the season in the second quarter, but Catawba led 13-3 at the halftime break.
- Manning collected the final goal of the night for Lees-McRae off a pass from Korovich with 1:03 left in the fourth quarter. Catawba picked up their first victory of the season with the 18-4 win.
- Mckenzie Mellen had a team-high five draw controls and added two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Castro had two draw controls and three ground balls.
- Tori Meiss made five saves in goal for the Bobcats and Chloe O'Neal recorded one in the start.
FOR THE INDIANS:
- Ella McCusker guided Catawba with three goals and two assists in the game. Four Indians scored two goals apiece as 12 players registered goals in the contest for Catawba.
