Austin Beaird had 10 kills to lead Lees-McRae men's volleyball this afternoon, but the Bobcats fell to No. 19 Lincoln Memorial in straight sets in Harrogate, Tennessee.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats closed within one point of the Railsplitters in the first set at 23-22, but LMU earned the first set at 25-22 with a kill from Griffin Wheatley and a service ace via Kohl Kutsch.
- Lincoln Memorial took set two 25-7 and the third set, 25-15, for the sweep of the Bobcats on Saturday afternoon. The Railsplitters had a .560 hitting percentage to Lees-McRae's .160 in the match.
- Beaird tallied a team-high 10 kills on 24 swings and Sebastian Heer followed with eight kills on a .385 percentage. Abdirahman Ahmed collected 17 assists in the contest and Ben Ratliff-Becher had six digs for the Bobcats.
FOR THE RAILSPLITTERS:
- Matthew Gentry led Lincoln Memorial with 10 kills on a .909 hitting percentage added four blocks and three digs. Kutsch recorded 32 assists and four kills. Wheatley had six digs to lead the Railsplitters.

Lees-McRae battles non-conference foe Tusculum on Tuesday, Feb. 27 in Greeneville, Tennessee. The contest with the Pioneers is scheduled for 7 p.m.
