M.J. Doyle and Sebastian had a team-high six kills, but Lees-McRae men's volleyball fell in straight sets in its Conference Carolinas opener with Barton.

FINAL SCORE: Barton def. Lees-McRae, 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-16)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats knotted the first set at 18 points apiece after Erel Bardah recorded a kill. Barton grabbed the next two points and used a service error from Lees-McRae to earn the first at 25-22.
- Barton held the Bobcats to 12 points in the second set and collected the sweep with a 25-16 win in the third set. The Bulldogs recorded a .354 hitting percentage while limiting Lees-McRae to a .103 percentage on the night.
- Doyle and Heer combined for 12 kills on the night and Bardah had a .625 hitting percentage and five kills in the contest.
- Merritt Crowe tallied 19 assists and five digs in the match for the Bobcats. Austin Beaird had five digs and four kills in the match.
FOR THE BULLDOGS:
- Jack Sandahl led Barton with a match-high 11 kills on a .400 hitting percentage. Brandon Johnston followed with 10 kills on 22 swings and recorded four digs and two blocks.
- Seth Deppe distributed 28 assists and added three kills, four digs, and two service aces in tonight's victory.
