BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's tennis used four singles victories to complete the 4-3 comeback against Northwood on Wednesday.
Begum Gumussoy rallied in the third set for the fourth point for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Timberwolves used wins on courts No. 1 and 2 for the doubles point. Miranda Noor and Lina Ngassi Saqout picked up the lone doubles victory for Lees-McRae at 6-1.
- Lees-McRae quickly earned two points in the first two matches of singles with Pati Vedia Sanchez and Rhidaim Yang. Sanchez collected the 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 singles and Yang powered past Northwood's Danijela Danilovic, 6-3, 6-1.
- Northwood went ahead with wins at No. 3 and 4 singles. Anita Ivanova evened the dual at 3-3 with a 7-6 (3), 6-3.
- Gumussoy collected the first set at 6-4, but Northwood's Regan Fales sent the match into a third set with a 6-3 win in the second set two. Gumussoy bounced back with a 6-3 decision for the three-set victory on the home courts of Lees-McRae.
