Irelynd Manning had a career-high seven goals in today's Conference Carolinas contest at Southern Wesleyan, but Lees-McRae women's lacrosse fell to the Warriors, 26-14.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats took the lead off three consecutive goals at the 8:53 mark of the first quarter, but Southern Wesleyan went on a 7-3 run at the end of the first for the 9-5 advantage.
- SWU tallied nine more goals in the second period for the 18-9 lead at the halftime break and collected the 26-14 win on Childs Field this afternoon.
- Manning paced the Bobcats in the scoring column with seven goals and Shannan Korovich followed with four goals, 10 draw controls, and one ground ball. Nim Castro, Mckenzie Mellen, and Anna Stutts all recorded a goal in the contest.
- Castro matched Korovich with 10 draw controls and Mellen followed with six on the afternoon.
- Chloe O'Neal had 15 saves in net for Lees-McRae and Tori Meiss collected six in the second half.
FOR THE WARRIORS:
- Lauryn Esposito had a career-high 15 goals to pace Southern Wesleyan and recorded two assists on the day. Taylor Byrd and Marley Kierstead also scored multiple goals in the contest with five and four goals, respectively.
