BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's lacrosse fell to Belmont Abbey on Saturday afternoon, 27-2, on Tate Field.
Shannan Korovich and
Hailey Smith tallied goals on the day for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Belmont Abbey jumped out to a 4-0 lead with 11:43 remaining in the first period. Smith got the Bobcats on the board at the 11:07 mark of the first.
- Lees-McRae scored its second goal of the game with 13:13 left in the second quarter after Korovich found the back of the net. The Crusaders held the 18-2 advantage at the end of the first half and won 27-2 on Saturday afternoon.
- Nim Castro had seven draw controls in the contest and recorded three ground balls. Mckenzie Mellen registered three draw controls and Korovich added two draw controls.
FOR THE CRUSADERS:
- Haley Adamo led Belmont Abbey on the day with four goals and two free-position goals. Trinity Cassidy, Scout Chaffin, Kacey Kubarewicz, and Emma Pherson all tallied three goals in the contest.
