WILSON, N.C. – Lees-McRae continued their seven-match road trip with a contest at Barton this afternoon. The Bobcats fell in three sets to the Bulldogs as
Erel Bardah had a team-high six kills in the match for Lees-McRae.
THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Barton def. Lees-McRae, 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-21)
LOCATION: Wilson Gymnasium – Wilson, North Carolina
RECORDS: Barton (9-5/4-4), Lees-McRae (1-16/0-8)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barton took the opening two sets at 25-11 and 25-13, but the Bobcats battled in the third set.
- Lees-McRae made things interesting in the third set after a 4-0 scoring run to cut the deficit to 23-21. Barton used a kill from Brandon Johnston and an attack error from the Bobcats for the three-set sweep on Saturday afternoon.
- Bardah tallied six kills in the match and both Austin Beaird and Dylan Slater had four kills in the contest. Merritt Crowe recorded 14 assists in two sets played.
- Ben Ratliff-Becher registered seven digs in three sets and Beaird followed with five for the Bobcats.
FOR THE BULLDOGS:
- Brandon Johnston and Luke Deppe each had a match-high nine kills to lead Barton. Seth Deppe collected 31 assists in the three sets.
