ROME, Ga. – Lees-McRae women's soccer earned a 3-0 victory in today's Conference Carolinas opener at newcomer Shorter in Rome, Georgia.

Lexi Hanson, and
Haley Lowman all scored goals for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lowman put the Bobcats on the board first in the 11th minute off an assist from Averee Andrews. Lees-McRae ended the first half with a decisive advantage with 14 total shots and six shots on target.
- In the second half, the Bobcats continued to put shots on frame, but Shorter's goalkeeper Karis Eccelston was up for the challenge.
- Bartlinski tallied the first goal of her career in the 74th minute for the Bobcats and Hanson recorded the third goal of the day via an assist from Gwen O'Brien.
- Lees-McRae registered 12 corner kicks and held the advantage in shots, 27-1, and shots on goal, 17-0.
FOR THE HAWKS:
- Eccleston contributed 13 saves in goal for Shorter in its Conference Carolinas debut. Maze McKechnie had one save in over 16 minutes played for the Hawks.
