BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's soccer battled Belmont Abbey to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday evening on Tate Field.
Chiara Coppin made five saves in goal for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Addy Geiss had an opening shot on target for the Bobcats in the third, but Belmont Abbey's Brianna Sroka collected her first save of the day.
- Coppin made three stops in the first half to keep the score deadlocked at 0-0.
- In the second half, Gwen O'Brien had a quality chance in the 55th minute with a shot on goal and Sarah Jones followed 30 seconds later, but both shots were saved by Sroka.
- Morgan Anderson had the final opportunity for the Bobcats in the 83rd minute, but Belmont Abbey recorded the shutout.
FOR THE CRUSADERS:
- Sroka tallied three stops on the night for Belmont Abbey. Gabriela Enciso and Mia Muckenthaler had two shots on goal each.
