BELMONT, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's basketball held Belmont Abbey to a season-low 36 points in the Bobcats' 65-36 win on Tuesday evening on the campus of Belmont Abbey.
Ja'Quavian Florence scored in double figures for the 14th time this season for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- DJ Kent connected on a jumper at the 18:29 mark of the first half to get Lees-McRae on the board first. The Bobcats used an 11-0 run to take the 13-2 advantage with 15:51 to play in the first half.
- Belmont Abbey answered with eight unanswered points, but the Bobcats pushed their lead back to nine points off a three-pointer from Ja'Quavian Florence. Lees-McRae led 29-20 after the first 20 minutes of play.
- Florence moved the lead to 12 points off a three-pointer and Travis Pourciau registered a fastbreak dunk at the 17:45 mark for the 34-20 advantage. The Bobcats held the Crusaders scoreless for over seven minutes and recorded the 65-36 win in Conference Carolinas play.
- Florence led all scorers with 13 points on 4-9 from the field. Pourciau followed with nine points and three rebounds. Brandon Brown and Kent recorded eight points apiece in the win.
- Lees-McRae scored 27 points off 23 Belmont Abbey turnovers and collected 18 fastbreak points on the evening.
FOR THE CRUSADERS:
- Jordan Patton had eight points for Belmont Abbey and Judah Sault collected six points in 30 minutes of action.
