Sean Standifer combined to score 50 points, but Lees-McRae men's basketball fell to UVA Wise, 97-82, on Saturday in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- UVA Wise used a 12-0 scoring run in the first four minutes for the 19-7 lead. The Highland Cavaliers maintained their lead and led 53-37 at the halftime break.
- Lees-McRae cut the lead to eight points off a fastbreak three-pointer from Patterson with 9:18 to play in the second half. Deburgo and the Bobcats continued to cut into the lead and trailed by five with 6:54 remaining in regulation.
- UVA Wise built its lead back to double digits and earned the 97-82 win over the Bobcats on Saturday.
- Patterson had a game-high 22 points on 9-13 shooting and 3-5 from three-point range. Deburgo and Standifer followed with 14 points apiece. Chase McDuffie had nine points in 20 minutes.
- Lees-McRae scored 27 fastbreak points and 48 points off the bench this evening. The Bobcats went 24-27 from the charity stripe and 27-63 (42.9%) from the floor.
