JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman jumped out to a 13-2 lead and recorded the 98-79 win over Lees-McRae men's basketball on Sunday afternoon.
Isajah Deburgo led the Bobcats with 16 points on the day and four Bobcats tallied double-digit points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Carson-Newman jumped out to an early 13-2 lead off a three-pointer from Matt Bilbrey.
- Dwight Canady cut the deficit to five with back-to-back three pointers. The Bobcats cut the lead back to five points with 5:53 remaining at 36-31. Carson-Newman led 54-44 at the halftime break.
- Justin Bramao knocked down a jumper with 7:29 left in the second half as Lees-McRae trailed 77-70. The Eagles added to its lead late and collected the 98-79 win over the Bobcats.
- Deburgo led the Bobcats with 16 points on 6-14 shooting and added five rebounds and four assists. Canady followed with 15 points in 28 minutes of play. Bramao and Chase McDuffie followed with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
- Lees-McRae went 29-66 (43.9%) from the field and registered 48 points in the paint.
