BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's basketball collected an 89-29 win over Bluefield in non-conference play on Thursday evening.
Nadiya Hairston led three Bobcats in double-digit points with 19 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae ended the first quarter on a 19-4 scoring run and led the Rams, 24-9.
- The Bobcats extended their lead to 20 off a fastbreak layup from Kaylee Carson and pushed the lead to 30 on a layup from Braelyn Stilwell. Lees-McRae held the 51-13 advantage at the halftime break.
- Lees-McRae moved its record to 2-1 on the season with the 89-29 win over Bluefield this evening.
- Hairston led all scorers with 19 points on 8-15 shooting and 2-2 from the free-throw line. Carson followed with 13 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Charlotte Torgerson rounded out the Bobcats in double figures with 12 points and five boards.
- Lees-McRae went 35-82 (43.2%) from the floor with seven made three-pointers and 12-17 from the charity stripe.
