Kylie Gutierrez scored one goal apiece as Lees-McRae women's soccer advanced in the 2025 Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Championship with a 2-1 win over Southern Wesleyan on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- SWU started out fast with shots on goal in the second minute from Camila Blanco. The Warriors had shots on target in the seventh and 16th minute also, but Laura Walker made her third stop of the match.
- Gutierrez got the Bobcats on the board in the 43rd minute off a throw-in pass from Ainsley Dial.
- Allen added to the Bobcat lead in the 77th minute after a breakaway goal.
- SWU made the contest interesting with a penalty kick goal from Karina Pashkovets in the 83rd minute. Lees-McRae held off the late rally from the Warriors for the 2-1 win in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Championship.
