BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's basketball earned its sixth win of the season with a 77-69 Conference Carolinas victory over Southern Wesleyan.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Southern Wesleyan led by 11 with 3:08 to play in the first quarter at 22-11. The Bobcats finished the quarter on a 7-0 scoring run and trailed by four.
- Lees-McRae gained the lead off a three-pointer from Sandra Mason at 27-24. The Bobcats pushed their lead to nine off a layup from Kirsten Watt at 40-31.
- Lees-McRae held multiple double-digit leads in the third period, but SWU cut the deficit to seven points at the end of third via a three-pointer from Makayla Raines.
- The Bobcats continued to lead by at least six points in the fourth and collected the 77-69 win over the Warriors on Saturday afternoon.
- Sydney Gueterman led the Bobcats with 21 points on 4-9 from three-point range and hauled in six rebounds. Nadiya Hairston had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Kaylee Carson rounded out the scorers for Lees-McRae in double figures with 15 points.
