SUMTER, S.C. – Lees-McRae men's tennis opened its 2025 season with victories over The Citadel and USC Sumter. The Bobcats earned the 4-3 win over the Bulldogs and a 5-1 win over the Fire Ants.
MATCH #1 BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae used victories in five of the six singles matches today for the 5-1 win over USC Sumter.
- Isaac Yang, Hudson Hoskins, Andy Tallafigo, and Ezequiel Arce all picked up straight-set victories on courts two through five.
- Max Borisov used a third set victory at 6-1 for the 6-4, 7-6 (6), 6-1 win over USC Sumter's Gian Rojas Rodriguez.
MATCH #2 BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae kept the momentum in the second match with a 4-3 win over The Citadel on Saturday afternoon.
- The Bulldogs earned the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and 3 doubles. Arce and Yang defeated the No. 2 duo from The Citadel, 8-2.
- Borisov dispatched Noah Van Dyke, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and Yang followed with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles.
- Tallafigo recorded the third point of the match with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles and Arce clinched the match with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles over Reece Beckendorf.
