BANNER ELK, N.C. – Four Bobcats scored in double figures, but Lees-McRae women's basketball dropped a 85-66 decision to Conference Carolinas frontrunner Chowan on Friday evening on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Chowan opened the game on a 7-0 scoring run before Emily Barr stopped the run with a three-pointer at the 6:08 mark of the first quarter. Lees-McRae then answered with a 14-0 run and led 20-14 at the end of the first period.
- Chowan evened the game at 22-22 and used a 12-0 run for the 41-27 advantage with 2:18 to play in the first half. The Bobcats trailed by seven heading into the halftime break.
- Chowan increased its lead in the third quarter after holding the Bobcats to six in the third and the Hawks earned their 12th victory of conference play with the 85-66 win in Banner Elk.
- Leah Barringer led four Bobcats in double-digit scoring with 15 points on 6-14 shooting. Nadiya Hairston followed with 12 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Layla Tillery and Kirsten Watt rounded out Lees-McRae in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
- Yasmine Brown had a game-high 23 points for Chowan and Meara Carter hauled in a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
