TIGERVILLE, S.C. –
Ja'Quavian Florence hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 20 seconds remaining as Lees-McRae men's basketball picked up a 71-70 Conference Carolinas victory at North Greenville on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae staked out an early 7-0 lead at the 17:15 mark of the first half. North Greenville grabbed the lead at 10-9 and held the 31-29 margin at the halftime break.
- Nico Ashley tied the game at 31-31 to start the second half and the Bobcats built another seven-point lead in the second half.
- The Trailblazers tied the matchup at 54-54 off a 10-0 scoring run and NGU led 62-61 via a layup from John Haddock Rogers.
- Oli Smith gave the spark for the Bobcats in the second half and Florence's heroics gave Lees-McRae the 71-70 win in tonight's game.
- Ashley paced the Bobcats with 18 points on 7-9 shooting and added six rebounds and one block. Smith registered 15 points on 4-6 from three-point range and 3-3 from the free-throw line. Florence and DJ Kent joined their fellow Bobcats in double-digit scoring with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
- Rogers led the Trailblazers with 18 points in 21 minutes off the bench. Wilson Jr and CaDarrius Sowell rounded out NGU in double figures with 17 and 13 points, respectively.
