Austin Beaird and
Sebastian Heer paced Lees-McRae men's volleyball to a five-set victory over Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon in Banner Elk. Beaird had a team-high 15 kills and Heer followed with 14 kills on the afternoon.

FINAL SCORE: Lees-McRae def. Emmanuel, 3-2 (26-24, 25-23, 24-26, 19-25, 15-9)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae jumped out to an one-set lead after holding the Lions to a - .03 hitting percentage in the first set and tallied a .103 in the 26-24 win. The Bobcats built a two-set lead with a 25-23 set win in the second stanza.
- Emmanuel evened the match with set wins in the third and fourth sets. The Lions hit .419 in the third for the set win.
- The Bobcats bounced back in the fifth and final set. Lees-McRae used a six-point scoring run to lead 14-8 and a service error from Emmanuel gave the Bobcats the five-set victory on Saturday.
- Thiago Da Silva distributed 47 assists on the day and recorded eight digs in the match. Ben Ratliff-Becher had a match-high 15 digs for Lees-McRae and Lincoln Scofield notched five kills in five sets.
